Wordless Wednesday - Turkish Carpets & Rugs




Turkey is well-known for its lovely and fine quality carpets and rugs. They are greatly regarded as the long tradition of most households for people in Turkey.

  3. This scene definitely looks familiar. The carpet specialist shop in Turkey isn't? I visited it when I made a trip to Turkey in 2007. The carpets were amazing and very expensive too.

  9. Those are so beautiful. I spent £250 on a rug in Tunisia 20 years ago, It is still in marvellous condition. Happy WW

    The silk rugs feel fabulous on your barefeet. they are unbelievably beautiful but rather expensive.

  17. If I ever have the money to buy of of those lovely carpets, I'd put it up on the wall instead of stepping and sitting on them.

    Imagine the hours and skill needed for one piece of carpet. Wow!

    the carpets actually serve a beneficial purpose to its ppl. they would protect themselves from the extreme cold weather with these fabrics.

    obviously, it will burn a hole in my pocket. i'd never spend my money on such expensive items.

    most of the mosques are covered from wall to wall with several layers of carpets. the fabrics can be primarily hung on walls or used on tables whichever you want.

  21. i like carpets in my house but unfortunately my mum thinks it is a hassle to clean it. oh well... i could have a virtual carpet on my desktop. :D
