One of the attractive features of Jeju Island is the sweet tangerines that I came across almost everywhere in the city.
The locals not only sell it as fruit but also have produced a wide variety of products which include orange flavoured chocolates, biscuits, perfumes and other culinary treats.
It was a beautiful autumn day when we visited the place and with tangerines in season, it’s hard to miss an orange farm tucked behind low stone walls, laden with thousands of oranges dancing in the wind. The oranges tasted sweet and sour, unlike the more bitter ones I experienced in Athens which are often used for making marmalade. It was fun to pick those tangerines and eat them fresh from the trees. :)

Oh wow . . . tons of tangerines.
ReplyDeleteI love this fruit.
I have only seen apple trees with my own eyes. I would scream in delight if I could see oranges on the trees!
ReplyDeleteI went tangerine picking too when I was in Jeju :) The whole group picked a huge crate of tangerines and we ate them for days :D
ReplyDeleteLooks good!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteThe tangerines look lovely, so colorful. I'll bet they taste great too. Have a happy week!
ReplyDeleteI share your feeling. I have a dear friend with large citrus orchards. They grow so many varieties it makes my head spin.

It must be fun to see those orange fruits dancing with the wind! Eating fresh from the tree? OMG!
ReplyDeleteI love tangerines! I eat a couple every day and often wonder what I'd do without my sweet moment. I love the sight of orange trees (or mandarins, tangerines etc). I love the contrast of orange and green and especially like your first photo.
ReplyDeleteHaha recalling the naughty things we did at the farm while on the way to Jeju.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very delicious post :) I very like it!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
wow, that's a lot of tangerines.
ReplyDeleteThey let you pick them, for a fee? Interesting.
Wow! So many tangerines! : )
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome. I want to pick some too and eat it direct from the trees. Oh, I'm imagining the aroma there. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, the tangerines look huge! How wonderful to include tangerines/orange flavored treats in the mix.

Hi puayeng sim,
Deletei can't remember specifically the name of the farm and as far as i can tell you, this tour is specially arranged by the tour agency. this farm is located next to a souvenir store where chocolates, cookies, seaweeds and other culinary treats are sold.
