Skywatch over Soviet War Memorial in Vienna

Here are a few skywatch photos captured last spring. A beautiful monument built in honour of the Red Army soldiers who fell during the liberation of Austria in April 1945.

The sky was amazing that evening and I like the way the sky changes colours when the sun sets. That was a nice way to end the day!

    I like the shots, especially the first one!

    Do you know that during the '60-'70s that golden plate misteriously dissapeared during the night only to re-apper some morning, at the foot of the monument? So I was told by a Viennoise, I do not know if this is true...It was kind of a protest...
