Is one of the most beautiful airports I’ve come across in Asia. It's an amazing feat of architectural design with a wide variety of facilities and amenities.   Remember the movie ‘The Terminal’ where Tom Hanks was stranded at an airport? I think he would have love to be trapped in this terminal. He would never leave.

Our World - Daepohang Fish Market

A walk along the bustling Sokcho will reveal the daily life of the locals and the surviving culture of South Korea.



One most apparent place we visited was the Daepohang Fish Market selling wide variety of live fresh fish and seafood.  It was interesting to look at the display of exotic creatures even if you were not buying anything.



It's quite common to see row upon row of different types of dried fish, along with many other types of dried seafood being sold openly.



There are also lots of packed desiccated seafood products for sale but I didn't buy anything.



Not far from the market area, I stumbled upon several stalls selling local delicacies.  My nose immediately detected the aroma of delicious fried shrimps from the moment I entered the place.



It was  impossible to walk past one of these stalls without sampling different types of local delights. Here is a wonderful spread of piping hot ojingeo sundae (Korean style sausage made with squid) waiting to be enjoyed. The squids are filled with glutinous rice and a tasty mixture of other ingredients that seemed to dance around my taste buds. Each of them is usually sliced into rings and fried over a flat top stove.



Fancy trying these? This is a big tray of silkworm larvae or whatever it is that the street vendor is cooking up. It's another popular snack here but I didn't have the courage to try it. Most locals were enjoying these bugs though. They made it seem so tasty and so easy to eat! :)

I don't have many photos of myself so I only have one photo for you today.


Here's a glimpse of me with a beautiful bed of chrysanthemums captured at Everland Theme Park in South Korea. I think the flower beds add a nice touch of colours  to the park.
