One of the best things about window shopping in Florence is the chance to see the attractive window displays where all the big names in luxury fashion can be found at Via de' Tornabuoni. I was fascinated by their designs and eye-catching shop windows and here they have Gucci, Prada, Pucci, Cavalli, Ferragamo, D&G, just to name a few. Each neighbourhood has something to show off and it never fails to draw people with its intriguing architecture, trend-setting fashionista and bustling colourful districts.
Prices are notoriously high and not everyone can afford to splurge on luxury designer clothes but what else can you expect from famous fashion houses that stands right in the center of Florence. Even though I can’t afford to shop, I enjoy window-shopping and people watching on this luxury-laden street. It's worth to take a look around and take some pictures, then brag about how you visited this place in Florence. The surroundings are absolutely gorgeous and inviting, so it's a trip I won't forget, even if I had to walk away empty handed.
In the meantime, here are some shots for your viewing pleasure.
I'll just window shop at these places (that is if I dare to even enter the boutique!) LOL
ReplyDeleteLove the architecture.
Enjoyed it, that's beautiful window shopping at night !
ReplyDeleteWe only have these in the malls...
You won't like travelling with me, I only like outdoor and food. shopping has no interest to be because like my friend says, no money and no shape.
ReplyDeletethey really have some very cool ways to advertise. how can we stop ourselves from looking at those colorful displays!
ReplyDeleteSo Italy is where all the brands come from right? :D
ReplyDeleteIndeed their decorations and the way they exhibit their products are way different from Malaysia right?

ReplyDeleteTwilight,
Florence is the best shopping place in Italy if you've the $$$$ to splurge on the designer products you adore. unfortunately, everything seems like 'see no touch' to me.
ECL,
whenever i travel, I alwiz bring back some mementos. i buy one item from each city i visit, so i can alwiz look back at the happy memories i've had.
Looks like a wonderful place to visit. Window shopping and people watching can be fun. I enjoyed your photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shopping moment! Very nice displays. Glad to be here.
ReplyDeleteCome & check me out with My Ruby Tuesday here
Hi! I'm a new follower on GFC from Ruby Tuesday! Love your pictures!
ReplyDeleteHi There,
ReplyDeletevery impressive especially the first photo. Now I know that in the heart of Florence city, there a place for superb fashion design. Looking at the photos, I do agree that they are very expensive. And I am also amazed that the mannequins posed well for the clothes.
It's okay that we can't buy branded clothing. Maybe one day, we can. There's still a lot of affordable clothes out there with nice designs, by locals.
In my place, I always go for a big store where they sell clothing at affordable price. For example, early this year, I bought jeans for RM19.00(USD6.00)only and I have been wearing the jeans for 10 months now, still in perfect condition.
With my limited budget, I always ask myself, what good it is to spend too much in clothing. Unless I am rich. Hahaha!
Ok then, have a nice day yeah?
I love ur first pic LR, makes me wanna shop shop shop oso! :)
ReplyDeleteMe too, love taking pics of the window displays, love the dressy stylo mannequins! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, it's enough to just be able to enjoy the view from outside and window shop, enough to make me happy lol! :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks too fun!
ReplyDeletewow thanks for sharing dearie i love the fashion! :D
ReplyDeleteand i LOVE the first pic! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, this is where that place in China got this arcade idea...after seeing here I remember the resemblance.
