I'm sharing some skywatch photos taken from VivoCity in Singapore.
A view of monorail express heading towards Sentosa with Port of Singapore in the background.
A great place to skywatch when it's not raining and I find that those huge giraffe-like cranes do a great job framing the sky.
Looking across the sea is the Sentosa Resort World. I remember in the good old days where we have to board a ferry to Sentosa but now there's a newly built boardwalk linking VivoCity to the island.
A different perspective of Sentosa Island.
This is a tall skinny snowman looking across Sentosa. What a pleasant treat it was to see him greeted us at that moment. It is really thin in size which I think fits perfectly in a tight space.:)
Skywatch
Mechanical 5 giraffes from the 'zoo'? This place looks like got good heavenly fengshui, very prosperous and very 'ONG' currently!
ReplyDeleteNice shots as alwaays. I imagine that Singapore is a city area which have many high buildings. The city must be flourished.
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos my dear friend!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful place!!!
Many greetings and kisses
Fortunately you get clear, sunny skies when you were at Vivocity then. We are having a rainy season in Singapore.
ReplyDeleteCool snowman shot! Love the symmetry of the cranes too.
ReplyDeleteBonza photos i especially like the giraffe like cranes standing to attention like soldiers in the 2nd photo and the tall skinny snowman in the last photo :-).
ReplyDeleteWhat terrific captures! I love the tall skinny snowman and what a beautiful place! I would love to visit there! Happy SWF! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I heard Singapore is beautiful and I have never been there. Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteWhat a unique snowman...he's so thin. Thanks for sharing your sky views with us.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely tour. Sentosa island looks like a pretty place. I love the boardwalk and the cool designs of the buildings. Great photos, happy skywatching!
ReplyDeleteDrop by to said hi...
ReplyDeleteWonderful views of the city. This is very different from what I have seen so far.
ReplyDeleteThese are fascinating photos -- both of the cranes (both types) against the skyline and of the resort. That's the skinniest snowman I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteYou got the best angles and locations in getting those shots. I wonder where you are when getting them, in a boat? Or in a far building using a long zoom lens!
ReplyDeleteWow, this place is very awesome!
ReplyDeleteAmazing place! Beautifully captured :)
ReplyDeleteHi Andrea,
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed my photos. These were taken from the wooden walkway outside VivoCity.
i'm not a professional photographer so I usually stick with only one lens as I take a lot of photos and i don't want to be changing lens when traveling. At present I'm using Nikkor 18-105mm kit lens from my Nikon D90 with it. it gives me a nice balance of flexibility.
Nice photos! Haha! That thin tall snowman looks weird! : D
ReplyDeleteWooo! So much has changed around there! When we went to Sentosa, we caught a cable car there and back. It was so much fun. We really love the museum on the island and the train ride around it too. Your photos are just lovely. Isn't it disappointing when the weather doesn't play along.
