PhotoHunt - Looking Down

Here are some pictures of a glorious spring day taken during our getaway in Santorini last year.

A great view looking down from the top of Santorini's village of Oia. It was such a thrill to look down the cliffs that have fascinating shapes and colours.

As we wandered around, we stopped at various points of the journey to take photos and from here you can see those villages and steeple perched precariously on top of cliffs.

From another view, I love this shot from the top looking down into the cliff and the rays of light reflected by the setting sun.

The tranquil turquoise sea looks so beautiful but looking down can a bit freaky as it's a long way down and I'd be afraid of toppling over at any time.

How long were you there, LR? Stayed overnight? I'd love to spend a night or two in those white villas. ^^

  9. You are definitely looking down in all of these pictures. They are all absolutely beautiful, but I'm not sure I could have taken them. I would have worried about falling over the cliff!

  14. Great shots - I was on Santorini two years ago and we had nothing but rain. I do have a great shot of a cat looking down at something scurrying along the face of the cliff . . . completely forgot about that until I saw your pics. DARN *smile*

    Have a good weekend.

  17. Lina,

There are so many words to describe our experience in santorini but magical is the one that describes it the best. pictures do not do it justice.

We stayed at Fira, (the other part of the island) for 2 nights only. I wish we had been able to stay longer.

plan a a romantic getaway in Santorini, for a once in a life time experience. trust me, you wont regret it.
