There is lush greenery all along the roads in Penang and I love it.
As part of on-going efforts to enhance the city's greenery ambience, the City Council has adopted various concepts and carried out numerous activities in its greening efforts along walkways and roadsides in Penang. With all the towering buildings and the construction works going on in the city, it's great that these trees add a nice touch to the roads and environment.

ReplyDeleteIt's good that there is still lush greeneries in Penang. :) In malacca....not much green left. Only concrete and bricks!
ReplyDeleteA laudable job from the people in authority. I think every city should adopt a greening program. Not only is it pretty on the eyes, it's good for the environment too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. It makes me happy to hear about greening efforts anywhere!

I would love to go for a drive through this beautiful road. I miss that in my city, tall trees, instead rubbish and tall buildings.
ReplyDeleteShould be more of it all around the world not just in Penang :-).

ReplyDeleteMy neighbourhood just underwent a "pruning" exercise. What it meant is - chopping down trees instead of trimming branches. :(

ECL,
There are definitely areas of Penang that are filled with concrete but the best part is that greenery areas are not that far from the built up structures.
The trees are pleasent along the road. They offer shade.
ReplyDeleteNice pictures. Thank you.
