PhotoHunt - Dusty

While visiting Dubai last year, we were caught in a sudden sandstorm and the air was not only dusty but extremely dry. It was definitely an unpleasant experience for everyone and it would really be tough for kids with allergies or asthma.

  1. Wow that must have been awful and not that unusual I'm guessing.

    Happy Easter weekend.

  5. Great shots. I can almost feel the dry air and can imagine how difficult the dust would be.

  9. That certainly gives the photos an unusual light - excellent captures. I've never been in a sandstorm, but then I've never been in that part of the world.

  12. But the photos in your entry weren't taken during the sandstorm, right? Because I'd expect even more dust and air pollution than that! :O

  13. YTSL,
Gosh, I wonder what will a real sandstorm be like? There was definitely some sand blowing in the city but was probably mild compared to the big ones that you've had experienced. I could even feel the tiny sand particles hitting my face and clothes. Not a nice feeling at all. A bit of a dampener on my vacation mood but I enjoyed myself in the shopping malls though but not after a nice shower to remove all the sand!

  17. Dubai really looks futuristic. I just hope that somebody can invent dust-proofing the entire city.

    I wanna go to Dubai.
