While visiting Dubai last year, we were caught in a sudden sandstorm and the air was not only dusty but extremely dry. It was definitely an unpleasant experience for everyone and it would really be tough for kids with allergies or asthma.

Wow that must have been awful and not that unusual I'm guessing.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter weekend.
It sounds scary! Great pics and hard to think of a sandstorm in such an urban area Happy Photo Hunt!
ReplyDeleteIt looked really dry and blurry from your pictures. :(
ReplyDeleteNice photos! A sandstorm is something I've never experienced.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.

Great shots. I can almost feel the dry air and can imagine how difficult the dust would be.
ReplyDeleteI would definitely say that a sandstorm would be dusty. Perfect photos for the theme!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us there!

I have never been to the Middle Esat and I have heard nice stories about the beauty in the desert. Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteThat certainly gives the photos an unusual light - excellent captures. I've never been in a sandstorm, but then I've never been in that part of the world.
ReplyDeleteYou may have gotten caught up in sandstorm, but your photos are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI remember like that happened when we are in Salt lake that before...Nice capture..Mine is up too.
ReplyDeleteMine is here
But the photos in your entry weren't taken during the sandstorm, right? Because I'd expect even more dust and air pollution than that! :O
ReplyDeleteYTSL,
ReplyDeleteGosh, I wonder what will a real sandstorm be like? There was definitely some sand blowing in the city but was probably mild compared to the big ones that you've had experienced. I could even feel the tiny sand particles hitting my face and clothes. Not a nice feeling at all. A bit of a dampener on my vacation mood but I enjoyed myself in the shopping malls though but not after a nice shower to remove all the sand!
I would love to visit Dubai, but would hate to be there in a sandstorm. Love your photos, they are very nice.
ReplyDeleteI'm just glad we don't experience it here.
ReplyDeleteOh, not a pleasant experience.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend.
Dubai really looks futuristic. I just hope that somebody can invent dust-proofing the entire city.
ReplyDeleteI wanna go to Dubai.
oh my..the air in Dubai is so dusty huh o.O
ReplyDeleteLOL Dusty Dubai! But would still love to drop by one fine day.. just to experience for myself all they hype surrounding Dubai! :D
