Our World- Singapore MRT

When traveling to new places, I like taking the metro to get around the city. It’s more convenient, definitely faster than the bus, and you reach your destination in a fraction of the time. For that, it wins my vote.

When I visited Singapore more than a decade ago, there were only a few stations in operation but since then, it has stations all around the city and has continuously expanded so that every part of this island is connected.

Here's a busy section of Singapore's Harbourfront metro system and it can get a bit crowded during rush hours but people-watching has always been fascinating to me.

Like most subways around the world, the Singapore metro is comfortable, reliable, easy and the carriage is remarkably clean. I took this during off peak hour, so it's less crowded.

In addition to this, the walls along the subways are creatively designed and eye-catching.

They can be delightful and inspirational for daily commuters as well as an attraction for tourists.

  5. I take the tram to get around the city when I travel. Because I can check the city's expression from the tram. and there is not the tram in big cities in our country so I want to take them. Of course there is not the tram there I take the metro.

  16. I live in California and I have no idea why a subway system was never installed here. Our traffic is horrendous.
