Wow super shots!♥Crissi♥
beautiful, in its own way!
We had a lot of these in the 'wild' when we lived in Tucson Arizona...in fact, I remember one time when we were hiking one crossed the trail right in front of our feet. Thing is, they ARE venomous, but they need to chew instead of a one time strong bite. The venom is released as they chew. Oh, and they're slow as the 2nd coming of Christ also...not a fast moving creature at all...so, no worries. You can out-walk them!!
It is a pretty and colorful lizzy. Thanks for sharing your gila monster.
You did a great job of getting these pictures from behind glass. We have Gila Monsters out west in this country, but fortunately we didn't meet any while we were hiking this past summer.
Great shots. He is rather beautiful.
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to mess with it, but it really is cool looking!
I don't like the "venomous" part, but DANG this guy is AWESOME!!!
Bonza photos, we don't have venomous lizards down here in OZ the lizards we do have can give you a nasty bite when threatened :-).
I just had an "oh!" moment! I never knew gila monsters were real!! Such a pretty little chap but yes, wouldn't want to see one in the wild.
I think you sure are right about that!
They are very common in the Southern Arizona deserts (I lived in AZ for 40 years until last December - I actually ran over one of these on the highway one day - not intentionally, of course!)
This is great!
It is a bit weird, beautiful photos.
It's called gila monster?! Wow! Sure the hell won't mess with this creature!
Beautiful creature. I don't think I'll be trying to touch one of these, though.
I will get nightmares tonight after seeing this pic oh my.....
I can't stand lizards, big or small, no matter how 'pretty' the skin omg!
Happy Sat sweetie, I hope u had a wonderful Valentine's Day and now the weekend! :)
