Not what you'd expect to see in our part of the world. But I do enjoy the old town parts of cities with similar architecture. A shame it's dying out and being replaced with modern styles.
Very pretty but I wonder why they always make the Madonna look as if she's lost all her luggage at an airport? You'd think she'd look serene or regal, not shocked.
Interesting...are they meant as "shrines"?
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful! I would love to visit Rome one day (as I would love to visit all the places on your blog once you make me fall in love with them).
ReplyDeleteMama Mary help our country! Your photos have very fine details. I haven't seen them in Rome streets, maybe because i didn't stay long and I was alone!
ReplyDeleteInteresting to encounter these on what looks like a corner of a building or street corner.

ReplyDeleteI've never been to Rome. My friend lived there for a year while her husband was on assignment and she just loved the day to day life there.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could visit. It looks so beautiful in pictures -- I can only imagine what it looks like in person.
