Henna tattoo is one of the most popular attractions in the heart of Penang Hill.

Here's a henna tattoo being applied on a Arab woman.

Application of the henna paste using a ready made cone. I learned that they will fade in about 2-4 weeks, depending on the type of henna that has been used.

As evident from this picture, it takes a while for a newly painted Henna design to dry up.

All those beautiful swirling patterns amazed me and the best aspect of henna is that it is totally natural and safe. Someday I'd like to have my hands done like that for the fun of it.

    1. the visitor is definitely an Arab woman while the artist is a Malaysian Indian. Henna art is a very popular attraction among Arab women who have visited Penang Hill. i've not heard of any MAD MONKEY.

  5. I think Henna is the way to go...Lot of people in America sure are into tattoos and I've seen a few people who are dis-pointed for some reason and can't do a thing except have it remove with a Lazare. But with Henna if you don't care for it. It will fade away.

  7. I had henna tattoos many times. They are aplenty esp on beach trips. Synonymous to cool accessories. :) I admire henna tattoo artists, they are amazing! :)

  10. I love henna tattoos! Although, I think it looks prettier when the resin is still on the skin.
