PhotoHunt - Peace and Tranquility, Quirky

DSC_6182
The seafront Eastern and Oriental Hotel (E&O) is one of the best spots to find peace and tranquility in the heart of Penang.

I used to spend my time here watching the sun set while enjoying the beauty of nature.

At a different corner of the city, there are several quirky art pieces designed by international artist Ernest Zacharevic that have gained attention far and wide. They make me smile whenever I come across them. They brighten up old, boring walls and here are a couple  of his quirky creations that I enjoyed most.

  7. The E&O is familiar to me but not the works of Ernest Zacharevic. Are they new in Penang? And what is the general opinion of them among Penangites, do you reckon?

    1. These artworks are part of the Mirrors George Town project created for the George Town Festival 2012. As far as i can tell, the feedback from the public has been awesome and you can see more of his work here.

  21. Lovely seafront of E&O with the clouds at the back. Used to joke about E&O stands for Error & Omission Hotel those days we knew its E&O only.
